The average homeowner should change their filter every 2 to 3 months. If you have pets it is a good idea to check it every month or two. If it is visibly dirty this means your furnace is not breathing properly and it should be changed.
We recommend having your furnace and ducts cleaned every two years. If you have pets or anyone in the house suffers from asthma or allergies you may want to consider yearly cleaning.
This is a question we get asked a lot. Simply follow these steps and your filter will be installed correctly:
1. Ensure you have the proper size filter for your furnace
2. Make sure the arrow is pointed TOWARDS your furnace
Once you have the right sized filter and you have the arrow pointed towards the furnace simply slide it into the designated spot and you are good to go!
Depending on the size of the house, the number of vents, and the layout of the ductwork, the average house takes between 3 and 4 hours to clean properly.
Rest assured we are not scam artists who come into your home with a shop vacuum and charge you an arm and a leg for a cleaning job you are able to do just as well yourself. We use top-of-the-line, high-powered air tools to thoroughly clean every inch of your HVAC system. These tools include various whips, snakes, air guns and spinning balls to ensure your system is properly cleaned.
The answer is...nothing! As long as the technician can easily access your furnace, ductwork and vents with a minimum amount of moving objects there is nothing you have to do before he arrives. During the cleaning procedure there is nothing the homeowner has to do but relax and let us thoroughly clean your HVAC system.
